Rough and Bumpy Skin
Rough bumpy skin has uneven texture and feels coarse to the touch. Common on the face and body, rough skin can be the result of dryness or a buildup of dead skin cells. A combination of exfoliation and hydration can help improve rough bumpy skin.
The skin naturally sheds and renews itself, and this process generally goes unnoticed. If the skin’s natural exfoliation process goes awry, the result can be visibly scaly skin. An effective moisturizer can help restore a feeling of smoothness and softness to dry scaly skin.

If you notice bumps on the backs of your arms and legs, you might have a common skin condition called keratosis pilaris. Sometimes called “chicken skin” due to its similar appearance, keratosis pilaris bumps can be white and may be surrounded by red skin.
